Position Purpose: Provides day-to-day coaching to the financial consultants in his/her branch to help them develop their businesses. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, RBC Wealth Management’s platform and associated tools, business development and marketing ideas, and opportunities for involvement in the branch’s community.
Key Accountabilities: The branch director is responsible for providing leadership to the financial consultants in his/her branch and for actively supporting their efforts to build their businesses and effectively service their clients’ needs. In addition, the branch director is responsible for limited day-to-day supervisory activities and serving as the branch’s liaison to the complex director and corporate resources as necessary. He/she is also a financial consultant with his/her own book of business.
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): *Strong knowledge of the financial services industry. *Strong understanding of client investment needs, suitability and appropriate products. *Strong knowledge of industry rules and regulations. *Strong knowledge of RBC Wealth Management’s policies and procedures. *Strong understanding of branch operations and associated policies and procedures. *Strong interpersonal skills. *Proven ability to influence and lead. *Strong presentation skills. *Direct experience as a financial consultant strongly preferred. *Must manage own clients and book of business in addition to providing leadership. *Series 7, 63/66 and 8 or 9/10 licenses. Additional licenses may be required.
