Position Overview:

Eligible for a hybrid work schedule split between home & office.

As the HR Communications Program Manager, you'll play an integral part in engaging our teammates in key cultural and HR programs. You'll craft and share information about our benefits, people practices and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to cultivate understanding and participation. As a primary storyteller, you'll celebrate our unique culture. You'll also administer culture-building engagement programs that foster camaraderie and pride among our teammates.

Reporting to the Director, HR Communications, you'll use your expert communication skills to imaginatively convey human interest stories and important HR-related information through the written word, images, video and events. You'll also apply your fanatical attention to detail to coordinate organization-wide communication and engagement programs and campaigns for a global $3.5 billion public company with over 300 full-service restaurants and more than 47,500 total staff members.

Here's more of what you'll get to do:

  • Manage the design and content of a variety of our HR communications vehicles, including but not limited to our internal websites, company newsletters and magazines, email campaigns, video and in-person events and celebrations.
  • Project manage communication campaigns, including project plans, schedules, task lists, status reports, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars.
  • Write, design, and deliver communications on a variety of employment-relevant topics. Identify, research, write/design and amplify stories that authentically portray our employment brand and reinforce our culture and identify opportunities to share them across our digital and print communications platforms.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing team to produce events and celebrations from start to finish.
  • Manage external print, design, and language translation vendors.

What we require:

  • 5+ years' experience in internal communication, marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in communicating HR-related topics, such as culture and engagement, benefits, employee relations, or talent acquisition
  • 1+ years of experience in corporate event planning
  • Expert copywriting and business writing skills. Highly skilled in editing and proofreading
  • Advanced graphic design skills, and ability to create attractive, compelling visual assets for digital and print communications
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to create project timelines, juggle multiple priorities and execute toward realistic deadlines
  • Exemplary verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of professionalism, adaptability, calmness and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, or similar software
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms such as Poppulo


What we prefer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, English or related field
  • Experience in the restaurant or retail industries
