Description

The City of Irvine seeks a skilled candidate with a background or interest in animal care, demonstrated office experience and strong customer service and leadership skills, to assist with assist with the front office operations at the Animal Care Center. This position is Extended Part-time, up to 32 hours per week, weekend availability is required.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of responsible clerical experience. Some experience working in a professional animal care setting, such as an animal shelter, pet store or veterinarian office, is preferred.

The Process
The selection process will include an examination and conduct a background investigation prior to appointment. This recruitment may establish an eligibility list to fill future positions in similar and/or lower classifications within the organization.
