The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is a strategic function at Capital Group, dedicated to fueling competitive advantage globally through foundational data excellence. EDO is instrumental in driving industry-leading data products to support all of Capital's Line of Business team s , investment, operating and client groups . EDO product managers and engineers collaborate with stakeholders to build strategic data products that enable data-driven decision-making across Capital Group .

As a Client Group Data Product Manager Associate, you will help define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for innovative and impactful data and AI solutions that enable positive client experiences . This role is crucial for ensuring our dat a and AI products are reusable, trusted, scalable, and secure. You will partner with EDO stakeholders to help define the data and AI solutions that support their needs.

The EDO Client Group Product T eam is a cross-functional team that supports foundational enterprise data ecosystems across Capital Group . In addition to collaborating Client Group teams on data and AI solutions, this role will also take on cross-functional data and AI problems that affect our sales, marketing, operating , and investment groups .

  • You have experience translating strategy into a product roadmap, prioritizing features that have the most significant impact on our data customers and the business.
  • You have led the design and operationalization of data and AI solutions focused on enhancing client experiences , deepening client engagement, and enable greater efficiency .
  • You will manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, delivering features iteratively to address business challenges.
  • You can establish strong partnerships with internal teams and stakeholders, fostering continuous feedback loops to understand their data-related needs.
  • You will develop a deep understanding of upstream/downstream systems and processes to shape data model design and impact adjacent systems.
  • You can ensure thoughtful product evolution addressing product lifecycle, adoption/migration experience, and providing clear guidance to users.
  • You will drive product discovery, requirements definition, and feature prioritization, leveraging product management and agile best practices .


What We're Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of Product Management or relevant experience with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling data and AI products.
  • Experience supporting B2B2C or B2B technical products throughout the product development lifecycle, preferably in the Financial Services/Asset Management industry for data platforms, data experience, tools, workflows, and/or data infrastructure.


  • Ability to effectively prioritize and communicate your product roadmap across business functions and geographies.
  • Technical background and strong understanding of technical systems & platforms and the ability to communicate with and challenge both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Good understanding of the ML Lifecycle (Platform and/or Infrastructure needs, etc.)
  • Perform data analysis and profiling using SQL, Python, and Data Visualization tools.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, as the role may evolve based on partner collaboration, strategy, and product priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of engaging in discussions at various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams, including other product managers, architects, engineers, and business partners.
  • Highly curious and want to understand and shape a complex domain .
  • Proficient in applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define and measure product success.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable rolling up your sleeves, thriving in ambiguity, and getting the work done.
  • Drives stellar execution across product, operations, and go-to-market teams. You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or early inputs into solid action plans .
  • You have extreme attention to detail and a high bar for product excellence .
  • Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, finance, economics or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MBA a plus


Southern California Base Salary Range: $103,977-$166,363

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
