POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Analyst, Production Risk Management position reports to the Director, Production Risk Management, and is responsible for insuring Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.'s productions. The position involves evaluating exposures, confirming coverage, and reviewing contractual insurance requirements to manage production related risk.

The position interfaces mostly with the production team and legal internally, and insurance brokers, insurance carriers, and vendors externally to evaluate Sony's exposure and mitigate risk.

If local to Culver City, candidates have the option of a Hybrid work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Individual will be responsible for various aspects of insuring various domestic and international productions including Motion Picture (MP), Television (TV), Animation, etc.

  • Responsible for notification to the insurance brokers of upcoming productions; distributing start up packets and training of production staff on insurance procedures; declaring cast members to insurance brokers, ensuring cast medical forms are received and submitted for approval by insurance carrier and working with production to resolve or negotiate any restrictions.

  • Review and approve contract insurance language for productions, including but not limited to locations, office leases, equipment rentals and security companies.

  • Review and approve all Risk Management-related revisions to client's standard forms.

  • Liaison between productions and vendors. When necessary, communicate directly with vendor representatives.

  • Work directly with production legal (MP & TV) and when necessary, production executives.

  • Request and/or issue required insurance certificates (incoming & outgoing) for finalized contracts.

  • Review incoming insurance documents for independent contractors ensuring compliance with client's requirements.

  • Follow-up for fully executed agreements and prepare complete file for online filing system.

  • Work on other Risk Management projects as required.

  • Help to maintain a strong relationship and open communication with each Sony business segment to ensure that they are aware of risk management policies and procedures.

  • Assist in due diligence on diverse types of transactions (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and/or other types).

  • Engaging and working with the Claims Manager on production claims including gathering claim forms and claim information.

  • Gather relevant data related to risk management's technology needs and identify areas where technology can improve efficiency and effectiveness within the Risk Management team.

  • Remain updated on the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) relevant to risk management.

  • Identify opportunities where AI can be implemented to enhance risk management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Minimum Seven (7) years related risk management, insurance/brokerage and/or contract administration experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.

  • ARM, CPCU and/or Property & Casualty Broker License preferred.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and execute task within tight deadlines.

  • Organize, prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

  • Working knowledge of various computer software (Word, Excel and Power Point).

  • Team oriented.

  • Minimal travel.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $110,000 to $120,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
