Our client, a Personal Care Manufacturer that specializes in personal care products happily located in Southern California, is actively looking to add a Product Development Manager to their team


Salary: $85,000-$90,000
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Type: Direct Hire
Shift: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Product Development Manager oversees product development processes and strategic sourcing initiatives while leading and coaching the Product team to ensure ongoing growth and development
• Lead product development from concept to production, managing the entire lifecycle
• Daily communication with vendors to ensure accurate samples and meet deadlines
• Oversee tracking of raw materials and samples, ensuring timely production and photoshoot deadlines
• Work closely with design for approval comments and feedback
• Source, manage, and test raw materials to meet quality standards
• Create and maintain tracking reports for samples, fabric, lab dips, and strike-offs
• Manage initial costing, analyzing and achieving margin goals

• Preferably a B.S. or B.A. degree in a science discipline
• 3-4 years of experience in product management and/or program management, with a proven track record of leading successful product launches and program executions.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of product development processes for personal care products.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution and resource allocation.
