Position Details

SUMMARY

Treasury Management Officer (TMO) is the primary sales resource in Treasury Management focused on business development and new business acquisition activity. Maintains contact with top and high priority prospects and customers. Also, supports the business development and customer expansion efforts of the Commercial Banking Teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops new business within targeted industries and with targeted prospects. Develops new business with existing clients in an effort to broaden and deepen the relationships. Consistently meets revenue and profit budgets. This position requires a high level of qualified in-person calling activity. (20/month minimal acceptable performance)
  • Completes responses to customer or prospect Treasury Management request for proposal. Performs general sales activity primarily related to developing new prospective relationships.
  • Maintains contact with top and high priority customers.
  • Develops territory plans, account strategies, call plans required to consistently achieve revenue and profit goals. Coordinates calling activity with assigned Relationship Managers.
  • Assists in completion of account reviews for assigned top priority customers. Jointly presents with Relationship Management Officer.
  • Assists in general marketing activity as required for trade shows and other targeted industry events.

What Do You Need for this Position?

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university required; CCM designation required within 24 months of starting position; and seven to ten years treasury management/commercial loan experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of banking payment system regulations, transaction processing and corporate treasury functions. PC proficiency in Word and Excel for Windows. Significant sales experience in any field required. Sales experience in financial or treasury services a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Some light travel is involved. This position requires employee to drive a car to travel to customer locations at least 80% of the time.

The range for this role takes into account many factors that First Bank considers when making hiring decisions, including but not limited to, prior experience, skill set, training, and other internal business and organizational factors. First Bank generally does not hire at or near the top of the range below. The range is driven by the geographic location of our estimated hiring location; however, the specific range may vary depending on the geographic location for remote positions. Compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each hiring instance. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Min: $109,000 Mid: $136,000 Max: $163,000
