Working without significant direction, this high profile role encompasses supporting the strategic planning processes for the Nutrition business; It is responsible for the strategic and tactical marketing direction of a geographic region to ensure the maximum revenue and profit growth for that market area is achieved. This leader is someone who can be empathetic to all stakeholders and pivot from one to the other seamlessly, delivering breakthrough results with measurable performance outcomes. Driving sustainable, value added commercial deliverables based on customer insights - leading VOC, lead generation, sales enablement programs and ROI analysis; partnering with a cross-functional team of business development, sales, medical, training, R&D, regulatory, and finance to align and co-develop the business way forward.

How you will contribute

This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our organization and develop your professional skills by...

  • Primary owner for the development, deployment and ROI of regional marketing strategies, sales enablement programs and customer segment-specific go-to-market campaigns to drive new customer acquisition, retain current users, expand customer share-of-wallet, increase market awareness, generate new pipeline leads and accelerate sales opportunities already in the pipeline.
  • Increase brand preference by increasing awareness in key customer segments through direct and indirect marketing activities and provide account-based marketing support for select key accounts.
  • Review and monitor the market area financial performance on a continuing basis, including risks/opportunities and work to adjust plans and priorities appropriately by balancing near/mid-terms business conditions with longer term priorities
  • Utilize annual and multi-year business plans to define the priorities and focus for the cross-functional resources who support the assigned region
  • Lead activities to acquire, evaluate, store and disseminate business intelligence, including VOC market research, market trends, competitive intelligence, and academic, clinical and business literature.
  • Gather and share insights from the region to define unmet customer needs, identify new business opportunities, etc.
  • Evaluate marketing programs and campaigns across multiple criteria including relevant response rates, cost/revenue analysis, qualitative key learnings, and overall results
  • Develop, implement, and manage annual and multi-year regional business plans to achieve established financial goals for the assigned region and provide input to the global business strategy.
  • Develop customer segments, personas and drive market and customer insights to optimize the effectiveness of the sales & marketing team.
  • Accountable for revenue objectives in the specific market area
  • Direct the analysis for specific near-term market opportunities of major importance and the development of business cases, pricing, negotiation and contract strategies to ensure an adequate level of customer satisfaction
  • Develop and recommend sales channel strategy and sales enablement programs utilizing market research and data
  • Establish and maintain appropriate communications within/between various functional areas
  • Develop recommendations for new product concepts based on market input and existing product modifications and overall segment strategy
  • Develop and report on key performance metrics on the regional marketing programs
  • Formulate annual budget planning and tracks the success of regional financial goals
  • Facilitate processes/programs as needed cross-functionally and serves as a strategic business partner across the organization
  • Maintain ongoing contact with industry leaders, customers and other medical professionals in the field, representatives of professional organizations with whom the business is affiliated, and executive/management levels within the business.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve the desired business results.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's Degree, Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Min of 10 years of progressive responsibilities in marketing, sales, business development
  • Superior professional writing and editing skills, adaptable to various styles of writing
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, as well as strong prioritization and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with senior leaders across the org.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deal with unexpected events
  • Must have scientific and clinical credibility
  • Tenacity for collaboration, execution and delivery and highly accountable for commitments; results-oriented
  • Proven experience working directly with customers
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate integrity, high energy, initiative, and self-confidence
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of projects simultaneously and react flexibly to changes

  • Proven analytical, strategic, problem identification and problem-solving skill level

  • Deep understanding of marketing, sales functions as well as a proven ability to create and own a GTM strategy - from concept to creation to execution - while working collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Ability to translate customer needs and market trends into workable strategies
  • Proficient in all MS office products
