Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist the government with requirements development and verification and validation activities on a new generation of simulation environment intended to test a variety of new and existing platforms.


The successful candidate will:

* Develop, execute, and report on classified test events focused on verification and validation of system requirements, integrated model capabilities, and data architectures to determine that the digital battlespace environment properly represents virtualized open air
* Grow and maintain infrastructure required to develop, track, and execute verification and validation test programs, to ensure the delivered product meets user needs
* Develop V&V test plans, reports, and test protocols that are well written, clear, and executable by associated personnel
* Lead and/or participate in test planning working groups, test plan reviews, and other test preparation activities
* Work closely with systems engineering and program management to obtain requirements and resources needed to execute validation and test plans
* Mentor junior employees and actively participates in their professional development
* Maintain a willingness to accept changing and evolving roles and responsibilities in support of customers' requirements and needs
* Ability to manage schedule constraints
* Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and persuasion skills with attention to detail, to advocate for various stakeholder needs

* Possess maturity and professionalism to lead the execution of a flight test missions, briefings and oversee team of discipline engineers in Mission Control Room

* Knowledge of statistical analysis software (MATLAB)


Qualifications

* Minimum of 5 years executing V&V related activities
* Strong working background in developmental flight test
* An understanding of requirements development, sensor and weapons systems on major USAF offensive systems
* Experience in data systems used to monitor real-time test, and post test data analysis
* Experience leading a cross functional team comprised of engineering, operations, integration, and technicians to successfully execute the development of complex products is desired
* Experience planning or executing test programs at the AFTC or other Major Range and Test Facility Base is desired
* Experience in Electronic Warfare and RF/IR CM desired

Education Requirements:

BS in Engineering (Aero, Mechanical, Electrical), Computer Science, or other science based curricula) required. MS in engineering/science or related field desired. Graduate of an accredited Test Pilot School is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

Active Secret clearance required with the ability to qualify for and maintain a TS clearance and Special Program access.

Travel Requirements:

Approximately 15% travel is anticipated for this position

The pay range for this position in California is $year to $year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
