Under the supervision of the director, incumbent is responsible for co-supervising the day-to-day operation of the children in a preschool setting. Responsibilities include planning curriculum and outdoor activities, assist in supervision of practicum and field study students.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $23.88 - $27.75 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $23.88 - $33.84 (Hourly Rate).

Required:

Two years experience working with preschool age children ages 2 - 5 years in a licensed center-based facility.

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent combination or education and experience working with children. 3 units of Infant Toddler course work.

Valid Child Development Teacher Permit, either holds an active permit or must show proof that you qualify.

Current First Aid and CPR Certification.

Knowledge of development needs of children ages 2 to 5. Knowledge of appropriate activities, (physical, emotional, language, social, and cognitive) for this particular age group. Ability to demonstrate a nurturing, warm, and supportive attitude when interacting with children. Physical stamina.

Special Conditions Required:

Documentation of absence of active tuberculosis. Current California Child Development Program Permit.
