Salary Range: $101,250 - $168,750 Depending on Experience

Summary

Manage the work of employees in the finance department to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures related to business planning, reporting and analysis processes. Lead the month-end reporting and analysis processes, including the preparation and review of profit and loss statements and KPIs to ensure overall accuracy of the reports. Be a key business and finance partner to other departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Help lead the financial planning and analysis process while increasing the company's business planning, reporting and analysis skills.

Manage the development of financial targets, key metrics, multi-year financial projections and alignment of financial and operating objectives.

Work with business leaders to analyze business opportunities to drive organic growth and help develop business plans and recommend appropriate opportunities.

Collaborate with colleagues across various functional areas of the business and engage in productive problem solving.

Drive continuous improvement by enhancing existing processes to improve efficiencies, produce stronger reporting tools and improve fact-based decision making.

Assist in the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts, including monthly/quarterly forecasts, mid-year forecasts, and annual budgets.

Assist in monthly variances analysis of actual to budgets results for monthly deliverables to senior management.

Apply strong analytical skills to understand the root cause of variances.

Assist in the preparation and design of ancillary business/financial models and other special projects as needed.

Understand the internal legacy computer systems in order to retrieve historical data, including downloads of data into Excel or other applications.

Lead exploration and implementation of financial dashboards and business intelligence platforms.

Ensure financial processes and reports meet corporate and industry guidelines.

Analyze monthly department spending and communicate trends with Sr. Management.

Work with department heads to manage spending, identify problem areas and support financial aspects of new corporate projects.

Continuously improve, automate and simplify processes to help drive better decision-making.

Proactively build and manage relationships with corporate department heads.

Create internal management reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial results and prepare commentaries for senior management.

Assist in preparation of monthly reports and variance analyses for management review, participates in short- and long-range financial planning and forecasting, and prepares ad-hoc financial analyses and reports.

Help lead the implementation of financial reporting and planning systems.

Assist in the drafting of SEC reports, prepare monthly statement of cash flows, other financial reports, and presentations for management and the board of directors.

Directly supervise a team of employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis (financial analysis with exposure to oil & gas industry and manufacturing environment preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's Degree preferred.

Language Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to establish strong relationships with others within and outside of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills both building and coaching the finance and accounting team and working cross functionally with peers in Operations and Marketing

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modeling, possess exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on our financial results.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel. Advanced knowledge of accounting and database software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certified Public Accountant or equivalent required.
