The Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) is seeking an Information Technology Manager II — Project Management Office (PMO Manager) for a newly created management position that oversees the Project Management Office within the IT Systems Division. The PMO creates and maintains standards for the project management of LACERA, ensuring that best practices are followed regarding budget, timeline, compliance, and staff allocation. The PMO Manager receives approved projects from the operations oversight committee and collaborates closely with all divisions to execute projects in accordance with LACERA objectives. This experienced, highly responsive IT leader reports to the Chief, Information Technology (CIT) and will oversee a staff of seven and an approximate budget of $3 million. THE JOB The PMO Manager will oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Systems Division, including seven subordinate project managers, an approximate budget of $3 million, and various projects and systems while reporting to the Chief, Information Technology (CIT). The PMO Manager will set and maintain a standard repeatable process for project completion and support and advocate for the project managers in the PMO. They will track the progress of important technology projects at LACERA and ensure they make it to completion. They will hold vendors accountable to project milestones and deadlines and be comfortable interfacing with legal when necessary. The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced project management professional with a proven track record of managing both vendors and internal staff members. They will be a motivated and organized leader who is eager to participate in organizational change management. This candidate will have a foundational comprehension of network architecture, business process design, disaster recovery, and software development as well. This position is also expected to give presentations to Executive Management, other departments within the organization, and to the Board of Trustees at monthly meetings.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Option A:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field; AND
Five (5) years of progressively responsible, full-time, paid experience in a centralized Information Technology organization, performing information systems analysis and design, application development, network administration or operating systems analysis; of which two (2) years must be in a management capacity
Option B:
Three (3) years of experience at the level of Information Technology Manager I, LACERA, or Information Technology Specialist I, LACERA
Option C:
Five (5) years of progressively responsible, full-time, paid experience in managing the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of a large complex information systems program in a large, multi-service public or private sector organization
And a valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
SALARY AND BENEFITS An annual salary of $135,701 - $205,394 DOE/DOQ, plus a generous benefits package
