UCLA is part of a large NIH-funded collaboration (RADCO) to further the understanding of resiliency in the brains of "super-agers". Super-agers are those individuals that are over 100 years of age but perform cognitively as someone 30 years younger. UCLA is one data collection set of neuroimaging data as well as the site for the neuroimaging core. In this role, you will play a critical role in the advancement of the research goals of the grants/funds we've been awarded. They may also assist in the WELLCOME Project and R25 Course. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Managing RADCO neuroimaging core * Research Tasks * Assisting in maintaining the computational resources for the R25 course * Custom programming environment and the HTML course learning materials Pay Range: $26.20 - $51.39 hourly.
Qualifications

* Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, or procedures to: define the problem or objective; identify relevant concerns or factors; identify patterns, tendencies and relationships; formulate logical and objective conclusions; and recognize alternatives and their implications. * Skill in coordinating various actions by determining the time and sequence of events to be taken in accord with standard policies practice. * Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there changes in workload; changes in assignments; pressures of deadlines; competing requirements; and heavy workload. * Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. * Ability to comprehend technical and procedure manuals records written in Standard English. * Ability to work and practice professional relationships with research subjects, patients and families. * Computer skills including word processing, email systems, file transfer, spreadsheets, data entry, data base maintenance, including the ability to enter data and maintain study records. * Experience developing and writing custom tools and programs using languages such as MATLAB, BASH, R, or other open-source programming language. * Experience with version control git. * Experience designing and writing modular, reusable, well documented computer programs * Knowledge of using LINUX computing environment and qsub batch system. * Experience maintaining desktop, laptop, workstation, and server hardware and software on Mac, Linux, and Windows platforms
