The Director of Student-Athlete Development will be responsible for the development and oversight of programming that enhances the student-athlete experience through the promotion of personal growth as well as supporting student-athletes' successful navigation of their intercollegiate experiences during their college careers though their post-graduation transition process. This person's overarching goal will be to provide each student-athlete with the skills necessary to achieve success in their personal and professional lives beyond their collegiate athletic experiences.
This individual will be responsible for creating, planning, and implementing effective leadership, service, professional/career and personal development workshops, events and initiatives for all departmental athletic programs. This includes working with both internal and external partners of the University of New Mexico to promote the comprehensive development of the student-athlete population. This position will provide oversight for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and other activities which reflect the University of New Mexico and Lobo Athletics' commitment to service programs and to enhancing the student-athlete experience and overall welfare.

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
