MISSION STATEMENT

At Thos. Moser we are guided by our mission to build furniture that celebrates the natural beauty of wood; is of simple, unadorned, graceful lines; and is crafted for a long, useful life.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

As designers and makers of American hardwood fine furniture, we are largely self-taught. If we have teachers, they are the woodworkers of the last century who left a legacy of beautiful forms executed by hand and built to last for generations.

Hidden inside our furniture is the stuff of permanence we learned of by taking apart old antiques. Our designs and joinery accommodate for the expansion and contraction of solid wood as the humidity changes.

LASTING VALUE

There are nearly 70 men and women in our workshop who fashion their functional art from American black cherry, a sustainable bequest from the Allegheny Plateau of Pennsylvania. Cherry trees must be given 75 to 125 years to mature. Although when harvested with care cherry is a renewable resource, it is vital the objects we make from this wood last at least as long as it took the tree to grow. 

Accordingly, our furniture is conceived to offer service and beauty for generations of users. We proudly guarantee our furniture for the lifetime of the original owner.        

LIFETIME GUARANTEE

If within the first 30 days after receiving any standard Thos. Moser product you do not remain completely satisfied with your purchase, we will provide you with a refund for the price of your piece or rebuild it. Proper care will ensure a lifetime of satisfied use from your Thos. Moser furniture. Should our furniture fail at any time during the life of the original owner because of workmanship or a failure of the wood materials, we will either repair or replace it. Upholstery components such as fabrics, leather, cane, and foam are warranted for a period of 5 years against material failure. Some custom requested wood species, fabric selections and modifications are excluded.
