Committee of 100 (C100) is seeking a part-time intern to support the communications and marketing department. The role will be supervised by the Director of Communications and Marketing. C100 is seeking a candidate with an exceptional eye for detail with a strong interest in learning about communications, media relations, marketing, content publishing, research, media monitoring, and analytics. This position will not be managing any staff.
Tasks:
Social Media: Help research, and collaborate on C100's social media handles
Research, track and pitch C100 to appear at external events that are relevant to the organization's membership and mission
Create briefing documents for various meeting, events and programs
Support the weekly and monthly event planning, organizing and virtual event management
Engage and build influencer relationships with Universities, Think Tanks, and other AAPI and non-AAPI organizations
Proactively pitch media on stories and programs from C100
Additional tasks and assignments related to marketing and communications
Key Qualifications:
College Student/Master's Student (Current or recent graduate)
Professional and Educational Interest in Communications, PR or Marketing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Flexibility to work within a multidisciplinary team and receive dynamic on-the-job training
Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Schedule/Compensation:
Candidates should be available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week (part-time).
Interns will be paid a stipend of $1500 for the 10-week internship program.
Additional Information:
This position will be ten weeks in length. At this time this internship will be remote. The internship position can also be used towards school credit where applicable.
The anticipated start date for this position is September 13, 2021. However, the start date is negotiable based on the student's spring schedule.
